Our story:

We are a homegrown aromatherapy brand delicately handcrafted in the beautiful North East India, a region which is rich in craft and culture from time immemorial. You are about to experience artisans made with all the love and utmost passion we have for our craft to make your space inviting. All these thoughtfully crafted aroma products are hand-poured locally in Jorhat, Assam. Our founder Tassren envisioned creating this slow-living aroma brand a well-known name in this entire region. Our co-founder Nasrin brings her creativity into every product while the youngest member of the core team Tasmim being a fashion designer has her hands on innovation, media, and marketing.

What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that is based on the belief that fragrance stimulates the olfactory system, and subsequently causes a response from the body. These responses cause a person to relax, heal, lessen anxiety and increase positivity. Aromatherapy uses natural plants and their extracts called essential oil that is infused with candles for their specific healing properties as well as their aroma. Scented candles have progressed from just a source of light to a whole new dimension with a vast range of benefits and functionality. The science behind this is that they can stimulate the part of our brain that is connected to smell and thus impact individual health.  
In India, especially in the North East home fragrances are still an area less explored. However, many are incorporating this extremely beneficial ritual into their routine and are in dire need of quality products that are locally manufactured and affordable.

Our inspiration:

We believe in slow living by helping our planet with all the measures taken to be eco-friendly and sustainable. At House by Tanaaz, we are conscious to reduce post-consumer materials by upcycling our products. We strive to cater to all those who are passionate enough to make their self-care routine more fun and religious at the same time. We are passionate to do more than just business and are dedicated to make our artisans and furry communities better.
